Our Travels (Feb/March)

We left home the very end of January for our Winter/Spring tour....we didn't get to escape the frigid weather this year as we stayed in the north (Chicago, Ohio, NY etc). :(  But we are very thankful for the safety on the roads that God gave us during the past couple months of bad weather we traveled through.  We have stayed very busy with meeting after meeting and have really enjoyed seeing God work.  We have been in many new churches and some repeat churches.  Seeing old friends again is always so much fun!  And we've also really enjoyed all the new friends we've made in the new places we've ministered!  Enjoy this whirlwind journey as we trace our steps from our first meeting in February up until this present day (mid-March!).

Our first meeting was in Zion, IL at Berean Fundamental Baptist Church - we held a youth rally there on Friday night and then a Church Revival Saturday night and all day Sunday!
While in Chicago...must eat PIZZA!!!!!!
We had a great Weds. night mtg at Jordan Baptist Church in the Chicago Suburbs...
Caleb also preached a Revival each morning in their christian school!  We were blessed to have our friends and
fellow evangelists, the Barber family, visit our service that night!
We enjoyed a fun evening at the Barber's house (a missions house they were living in during their break from traveling).  Yummy food, great fellowship and lots of playtime for David with his new friends Samuel and Erin!

Powerful messages at Biblical Baptist in Beach Park, IL on Sunday, Feb. 8!

Like father like son... #technologylovers
Great service at Foundation Biblical Baptist Church in WI on Weds., Feb. 12.
The McMillers were such a pleasure to meet!

We enjoyed staying with Bro. and Mrs. Shuler while in Ohio!  They spoiled us rotten (for example, here is David about to open up a gift they bought him that day at the store!)

We sang and Caleb preached for Grace Baptist Church's Valentine's Banquet on Sat., Feb. 15.

 Singing at GBC

Wonderful day of services at Grace Baptist in North Ridgeville, OH.

Next stop: PopPop and Grandma's house in Queens, NY!  YAY for new books to read! haha!

We enjoyed a great Weds. night service with my home church, Faith Baptist in Queens, NY
(where my dad has pastored for over 25 years).

Feb. 20 - Happy 17 months to David!

Then on Sunday, Feb. 23, we were blessed to be with Bethel Baptist Fellowship in Brooklyn with Pastor Jim Bickel.

We enjoyed a yummy Jewish feast out with my parents one night.
(Gotta love all the ethnic cuisine in the cities of America!!)

Ready to dig in!!!!!  Can I just say....I LOVE HUMMUS!!!!!!!

Feb. 23 - Mainland Baptist in Galloway, NJ.  This is Caleb with Pastor Dean Bult, his "grandfather" in the faith (Pastor Bult led Caleb's dad to the Lord 30+ years ago in Syracuse, NY!)

Fri., Feb. 28 - youth rally at Sligo Baptist in Sligo, MD.
We also had Revival services with them Friday night and all day Sunday.

Got a chance to have lunch with our sweet friends, Bro. Chuck Harding and his wife in MD.
Bro. Harding is founder of Awake America Ministries and has a burden to see churches all across this country be informed, involved, and interceding for our land.

March 5 - Frederick Baptist Church in Frederick, MD.  This was our first time here - very sweet folks and sensitive to the message that night.

This little boy LOVES his Grandma!!!  We are so thankful we got to go back up to NYC for a few extra days!  We weren't expecting that to work out but it did at the last minute!

Since we were there, we got to be a part of a couple nights of FBC's Revival meetings, by providing the special music!  David enjoyed making new friends at his mommy's old church!

Had to grab a couple of the genuine, real-deal, most amazing ever bagels before we left Queens!!  We will miss all the amazing food in NYC now that we are gone for the rest of the year :(

All day Sunday on March 9, we were with Freedom Baptist Church in Front Royal, VA.

David with his new friend, Alayna Hillman (the pastor's daughter).

FINALLY!  A slightly warmer day....warm enough for a few minutes at the park! :)

On March 10-12 we got to be at the Capitol Connection (put on by our friend, Dr. Chuck Harding, along with Pastor Mike Creed  and Awake America Ministries).  We had the opportunity to sing one of the specials on Tuesday night.

Caleb enjoyed going up to the Capitol each day with about 100 other pastors who came from all over the US (even Alaska!) to share the Gospel with our government leaders (which they had huge open doors to do!) and also get challenged each day by christian government leaders about how we can bring our nation back to God again. Each night we attended services with guest speakers who encouraged us to be informed, be involved and be interceding for our land. What an exciting time we had!

Great service on Weds. night, March 12 at Woodlawn Baptist in Bowie, MD.  Pastor William Tyson is a great friend of ours and we always enjoy being with this church!  Feels like home away from home!
On Sunday, March 16, we had the wonderful opportunity of being with Pastor Herrell and Chilhowie Baptist in VA.  We were there once before.  It was exciting to see how the church is growing - they are in the middle of a huge expansion remodel, so they meet in the local high school for now.

Thursday March 20 was a very special day for the Garraway family --
#1 - It was Caleb's and my 4-year wedding anniversary!!!!
#2 - It was David's 18-month birthday!  How is our baby 1 1/2 already?!?!?
#3 - It was the start of week 18 of pregnancy with our new precious baby!!!!  Starting to actually look pregnant now! YAY!

On the evening of March 20, we had the exciting privilege of singing and preaching at
Iglesia Bautista de Fe in Durham, NC! Pastor Johnson translated for Caleb and we had a wonderful service with those dear hispanic folks!  We were AMAZED at the huge crowd at a mid-week service!!  These are some super faithful church members!

Spring has sprung!  We enjoyed some time at a beautiful park in NC one afternoon.

18 months old and eating his first ever ice cream cone!!!!
He loved it and barely even made a mess eating every last bite of it :)

David - 17 months old!

This post is really late (sad face) but David turned 17 months old on February 20...
He is growing up so much here lately.  He loves reading books all by himself (he literally sits there and babbles throughout the entire book as he turns the pages!).  He loves legos (the taller the better!). He loves his Thomas the Train (he finally learned that if you push the button three times in a row, Thomas will drive all by himself).  He LOVES...LOVES...LOVES climbing up and down stairs, whether they be a staircase in someone's home or the steps leading up to the platform in church!  He is continuing to develop in the words he can say...if he drops something, he exclaims, "Oh no!" in the cutest way!  He is starting to enjoy more foods, especially different fruits (for a while he was only enjoying bananas - or "nana's" as he calls them!).  He now likes cantaloupe, pears and sometimes apples ;)  He definitely has a willful streak in him (well, what toddler doesn't, right?!)...but he is learning, slowly but surely, that Dad and Mom's word is law!  He loves playing the piano and has learned the difference between "low notes" and "high notes" and can play low or high notes for you on demand!
Enjoy these photos I snapped of him one day at my parent's house in NYC.

Official 17-month photo with stats

What a face!

Always on the move!

Playing with gusto on the piano Mommy grew up learning on!

Perhaps one day these chubby baby fingers will turn into talented piano player hands!

If he turns into a serious pianist one day, he will love the fact that I got these pictures!

He's pretty serious when it comes to playing the piano...don't try getting smiles out of him while he's busy playing!

Lego time!

The leaning tower of....David :)
