July - of VBS's and Vacations...

July was a super busy month - almost every week was filled with either a VBS or a camp.  One week, near the end of the month, we had a couple meetings but no week-long obligation, and we just happened to be in NYC with my parents (yay!), so, I considered that week kind of like a "vacation" of sorts!  It was so special to get to spend that time with my parents and my brother who came to visit from Illinois.  This month, Caleb turned 27 on July 20th AND on that same day, David turned 10 months old :)  Enjoy the following photos and short posts bringing you up-to-date on our lives!

The first week of July, we enjoyed ministering through preaching and singing at Mt. Salem Revival Grounds during their youth conference week of camp.  On July 2nd, they had an outdoor concert, multimedia presentation and fireworks show!  Hundreds of folks from all around came and enjoyed the fun night!  We sang and Caleb did the DVD  presentation shown at the end!
Our friends, The Rodrigues Family, came to see us and to sing in the concert!  It was such a special treat to get to see them again (and all 10 of their beautiful children!), as well as introduce them to David!
David really seemed to enjoy watching his first fireworks show!
Happy 4th Of July!!!!
We enjoyed spending the day with our good friends, Abdel and Minda Judeh in Parkersburg, WV!
Alana was a great help decorating the top of our "birthday cake" for America!
The second week of July found us in Cincinnati, OH for a VBS!  David really loves scooting now!
Although...he can only manage to go backwards :-/
Many eager ears and hungry hearts!

Then, it was a long drive through the night to get to NYC for 2 weeks with my parents!!!
David LOVES his PopPop and Grandma!!
Sunday, July 14th, we were at East Side Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY.
Always special to see my friends, Eliora and Eliana, Pastor Smalls' granddaughters!  They sure loved David!
Who doesn't love a shopping date with Grandma and Mommy? :)
That first week in NYC, we helped out a couple nights at the WAR (a teen program my dad's church hosts in the park each summer).  Caleb got involved with the rough games...and felt it the next day!
Grandma and David watching Daddy play in the WAR!
My mom watched David for an afternoon that week so Caleb and I could go out on a date for his birthday!
We thoroughly enjoyed eating lunch at one of our absolute favorite restaurants!
Caleb preached and we sang in the Weds. service at Grace Baptist Church in Long Island.
The day before Caleb's birthday and David's 10 month birthday, we went up to CT to visit my dad's family.
We spent the day at my aunt's lake house and enjoyed taking some fun pictures :)
Most of the ones of David are on the "David - 10 Months Old!" blog post...
Love this one of my dad and David, his only grandson (for now!)
4 Generations!  Gramme, Dad, Me and David :)
July 20-- "Happy 10-month birthday to MEEEE!!!!"
We had a fun little party with my parents on Caleb's 27th birthday, Saturday, July 20th!
On Sunday, July 21st, Caleb preached at my parent's church, Faith Baptist, in Queens, NY.
The stage was already decorated for VBS ;)
We had a picnic at the park one afternoon after VBS!
David LOVES his Uncle Steve!
One evening, we went over to the Rozic Family's house for dinner.  I nannied for them when Natanel (now 4 1/2 years old) was just born!  I would sit him down at the piano when he was just a few months old and move his little baby fingers across the keys.  Now, 4 years later, he can already play Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee with both hands!
I was so proud of him!  Had to hold back the tears...it was a pretty neat moment!
GREAT week of VBS at my parents church!
We really enjoyed the special time with my parents those 2 weeks!
David took his first official crawling steps the day we left!
