June Journeys

Here is a quick pictoral journey through our busy month of June.  We are excited to be in the thick of our summer ministries - mostly camps and Vacation Bible Schools.  It is always fun to work with kids and teenagers, and we especially get to enjoy this in the summer time!

Our first week of June, we enjoyed a few days at home!  On Thursday night, we spent the evening at our town's Farmer's Market with our best friends/pastor and family: Joseph and Charity Brown and their kids :)

On Friday, June 7, we left home for our summer adventures!  First stop: Reformer's Unanimous where my brother, Stephen, has been living since January.  God has done a miraculously wonderful work in his heart!  This was his first time meeting David!  David LOVED Stephen -- and vise versa of course!

Our first VBS of the summer was in Mansfield, OH at Peoples Baptist Church.

We had a record-breaking 210 kids on our last night!

Then we did a VBS in St. Louis, MO at Lafayette Bible Baptist Church.

Out at Dairy Queen with Pastor Bragg and his wife, sporting our VBS t-shirts the church workers wore all week.  Too bad we didn't have a VBS onesie for David!

David tried crackers for the first time at lunch on Father's Day (June 16th)!  Since he has 6 teeth already, he had no problem chewing them up!  He LOVED it!

We got to see the famous Gateway Arch in St. Louis!

We also got to spend Friday evening with some friends I grew up with in NYC who now live in St. Louis - the Gleason Family!  David always loves meeting new friends!

All ready for church!  Daddy's Bible is as big as he is! haha!

Our 3rd VBS of the summer was at Victory Baptist Church in Columbia, MO.  About 90% of the children you see in this photo had never been to this church before!
Many of them trusted Christ that week!

Besides playing the piano, I also teach the missionary story each week.

That week, we stayed with Pastor Crumly and his wife.  David learned to scoot...but only backwards at this point!  He doesn't seem to mind!  He's just proud of the fact he can get around now!

David turned 9 months old on June 20 :)
There is a separate blog post with more pictures from his 9-month photo shoot!

Uh-oh...watch out folks...baby at the wheel!

Still chuggin' backwards :)

On June 30, we enjoyed a great Sunday with Landmark Baptist Church in Parkersburg, WV.

Caleb and one of his good friends, Abdel Judeh (youth pastor at LBC)

Oh no!  Stuck! ;)
